Agent Symposium Series
The goal of our Agent Symposium Series is to educate our
AQ users about the agent-client relationship, the business side of publishing,
and the pitfalls of the publishing industry.
We email one question to multiple literary agents in an effort to receive dynamic perspectives and
feedback on the same topic. We believe the format of multiple
agents answering the same question creates a fresh,
educational forum that both writers and agents will enjoy. And although we may occasionally
pose questions to agents about the query process, we strive to create a symposium that
focuses less on query mechanics, and more on the behind-the-scenes world of literary agents
and the publishing industry.
Agents are encouraged to participate only when they feel inspired by our question and as time permits.
For this reason, every symposium promises to provide a varied group of established literary agents,
offering an insightful peak "under the kimono" of the arcane world of publishing.
