  • MORE INFORMATION

    SPECIAL INTERESTS
    • I handle books for children exclusively: picture books, chapter books, middle grade and YA, fiction and non-fiction. In middle-grade and YA, I'm looking for something that makes me laugh out loud, I'm a sucker for bittersweet, and I can't resist a character that comes to understand how perfectly imperfect the world is. I want a book to stay with me long after I finish reading, and I'm looking for powerful, original writing. I'm open to mystery, scifi, humor, boy books, historical, contemporary (really any genre).
    • My favorite projects live at the intersection of literary and commercial.
    • In non-fiction I'm looking for books that relate to kid's daily lives and their concerns with the world. In picture books, I'm looking particularly for author-illustrators, succinct but expressive texts
    DOES NOT REPRESENT
    • She does not represent picture books or books for the adult market

    Fiction | Young Adult
Rachael Allen's 17 FIRST KISSES, in which a seventeen-year-old and her best friend compete for the attention of the new boy in town - and find out if his secrets are worth the drama - told in chapters that alternate between senior year and the past, revealing losses, the history of this knotty best-friendship, and the moment that everything changes, to Jennifer Klonsky at Harper Teen, two-book deal, by Susan Hawk at The Bent Agency (World English).

    Fiction | Middle Grade
Jennifer Downey's debut THE NINJA LIBRARIANS OF PASSAIC, the first in a series about a girl who stumbles on Petrarch's Library, the headquarters of a secret society of warrior librarians who use their mysterious library to travel time, protecting those whose words have gotten them in trouble; she longs to join their battle, but when she learns that a traitor hides within, she knows that saving Petrarch's Library could mean erasing herself from its history, forever, to Aubrey Poole at Sourcebooks, in a two-book deal, by Susan Hawk at The Bent Agency (World English).
